Do you have a good recipe for homemade dog treats?

I know, I know I could look online, but I wanted a TRIED and TRUE recipe from CafeMoms! ;P
Our family has a LOT of dogs, we have 4 small dogs, my parents-inlaw have 2 large dogs, as do my my sisterinlaw, and numerous friends. I thought it would be fun on a chilly day to make doggie treats. Ideas?

  • I should have mentioned in the question, I would prefer the treats be something I can STORE/FREEZE, etc, since obviously the dogs are not all at my house. Thanks robinalbright!

  • Peanut Butter Dog Biscuits

    1 ½ cups water
    ½ cup oil
    2 eggs
    3 tablespoons Peanut butter
    2 tsp. vanilla
    2 cups flour
    ½ cup cornmeal
    ½ cup Oats
Blend wet ingredients together. Whisk dry ingredients together and mix into wet mixture to form a ball of dough. Roll out and shape. Put onto a non-stick cookie tray or lightly greased one.

Cook 20 minutes at 400 F. Turn off oven and allow the biscuits to cool in oven until crisp and hard. Store in airtight container.
