  • It's not cheating but it's dishonest and not good for the relationship. I have an e-mail married male buddy but my husband knows about him and doesn't care. I even let him read the e-mails when he wants.

  • It's more like dishonest than cheating unless the emails are graphic and include sexually explicit pictures. If it's just an email buddy why can't a person be honest about it with their husband?

  • It's not cheating, but it IS dishonest. There are no secrets in a HEALTHY, HAPPY marriage.

  • It is dishonest. If you are just email friends and it's innocent, why wouldn't you tell your husband? You should not be keeping secrets, unless the "relationship" isn't so innocent?

  • It's not cheating.
If you have this secret friend, that you have no plans to be anything more, and it is just a way to talk to someone, a third party parson, about marital issues, and to just have a pseudo-social life. That's fine. There is nothing wrong with that. But just know, that it doesnt matter the intention behind the communication, what will matter to your DH, is there is a man in your life, you have kept secret, that you are talking to behind his back. It doesn't matter what you talk about. The fact is, you are keeping another man in your life a secret, and it can only come back to bite your ass later. I say, be honest with your DH about him.
