  • The high heat setting always made my face red and just did not think it was all that worth the high price tag.

  • How funny this question should be on here,, I am a salesrep and hairstylist, I sold Chi products for over 17 years,, they have a very big breakage rate,, you should check into FHI and Infrashine, not as popular, but have a solid ceramic heating element that dries your hair from the inside out, less damage done and faster and smoother finish! Yes, if you have thick/dry and /or color treated hair a good dryer is worth the investment! I have sold over 100 infrashine blowdryers and have never had one return, although Chi works in the same way I honestly take back about 2 for every 10 I sell! I hope this helps!!

  • i have always just used the cheap wal mart dryers, i was just wondering if i should invest in a "good" one

    i'd agree with this statement. otherwise, unless you are constantly using the blowdryer all day long (as a professional would be), i wouldn't bother with a huge investment on your styling tools. they're tax-deductible for working professionals, so it 'helps' in that way, too.
