  • Why are you weaning at such a young age?

  • It's no ones business why you want to stop now. Found this for you.

  • For the past 4 months I have had sharp pains and a burning sensation in both nipples while she is nursing and after she is done. I have to bite on something when she latches on.
We have been treated for thrush by the doctors but its still there.
The doctors don't seem to want to help me.
Believe I don't want to stop but I can't take pain anymore.

  • Do it gradually. Drop one feeding every few days.

If you want to wean, that is your business, and you don't owe ANYONE an explanation.

  • It's a gradual thing, have you ever used bottles with her in the past? If not, that will take a lot of time for your little one to get use to. Are you going to pump? That will make the transition a lot easier. Like someone else said, maybe do the morning feeding with a bottle, every morning, then add another one, and another one.... Good luck! And done listen to those who are just complaining. You are going to make theright choice for you and your little one.

  • well the reason whythe thrush isnt going away , cuz you are getting the wrong treatment. what you need to do is go to a helath food store and get gentian violet. it works within days. if you still wnat to keep nursing stop by the breastfeeding moms group also check out

  • I weaned her off the breast at 6 months because she was getting teeth and I didn't want to get bit. She will be 1 in a few weeks and she is still getting breast milk because I am pumping.
