  • Absolutely! Look at Judaism, and its many branches: Orthodox, Conservative, Reform, Traditional, Humanist, Reconstructionist, etc.

  • But once they evolve, are they really still the religion they once were? Or are they different? Lutheranism evolved from Catholicism, But Lutherans are far from Catholic... So did the religion evolve or just alter?
