What wold you call the style of skirt that is a poodle skirt?

I want to make my own skirts, and I want them to be long and poofy like poodle skirts...but without the poodle...I don't know what sewing pattern to look up because I don't know what that style of skirt called?

  • Also called a swing skirt, but you don't need a name to look it up. You would recognize it if you saw a picture, right? You can look at patterns online at any company......Simplicity, Butterrick, McCall's, Vogue. Just look at the pictures under skirts. GL!!

  • If you do a Google search for "poodle skirts" there are plenty to choose from. You don't need to add the poodle to the skirt.
