Is there really a 2 point

play in football? I've never heard of this but DH and MIL say there is.

  • There's a 2pt conversion instead of kicking the extra point after a touchdown and you can also get a "safety" when they tackle a guy with the ball in his own endzone.
    I've been watching way too much football lately. I had no idea what a safety was until a couple weeks ago.

  • The 2 point conversion after a touchdown and a safety is 2 points. The safety has been around for a while and the 2 point conversion has only been around for a few years in th NFL, however it was a part of collegiate play since 1958
