  • Did you try Barnes and Noble? They have a wide selection. Or maybe you can find somekind of notebook that has some sort of latch you can add a lock to?

  • Try online too , sometimes there are more varieties than in-store.

  • If you can't find one then you might could get him a journal book and then a small locking box to put it in. You might could try a place like Books A Million or other big book stores. They normally have a pretty good selection. You may have to look in the grown up section to find something masculine.

  • they make little plain black ones with a lock... or at least they used to... I had one. I think it would be appropriate for a boy.
now this one here is a bit pricey...

  • Although I didn't ask this question I am so glad I saw it. My son has wanted a boyish one for a year now and we never find one! I even thought of buying a girlie one and decoupaging (sp) it with camouflage gift wrap but it might look weird. and imagine if he gets curious and starts peeling the paper off! LOL

  • Me too Gigi1969! All 3 of mine would love them! They all just read Diary of a Wimpy Kid, and Rodrick Rules! I'll have to add it to their Christmas lists. They are getting so hard to buy for!

  • What was Diary of a Wimpy Kid like? What age? So - I finally found a diary that's not too girly AND not expensive leather!! Try RedStamp.com - it's one by Mira Ma - striped - $7!! Thanks to a reply from a post I made.
