  • You are supposed to turn off your television and then use a microfiber cloth. They sell special cleaners for LCD/plasma, but they're chockful of chemicals. I just spritz a little water directly on my microfiber and then wipe. If that doesn't do it, I spritz on a mix of 1/2 and 1/2 water and rubbing alcohol and then wipe the screen. Some spots may need a little gentle scrubbing action with your thumb.

  • Windex and paper towels... that is what I do... just don't press like you would if it were glass!

Don't use Window Cleaners or any cleaner that contains alcohol or ammonia; they are not safe for Flat Screens.

Paper towels and Newspapers are wood products and can scratch it.  Cheapest method is Microfiber or 100% cloth and warm water.

Do not apply the cleaner to the TV, apply it to the cloth.

  • The bottle of sample spray that came with our television from the manufacturer has isopropyl alcohol in it, so that is supposedly safe, but other chemicals are not.
