Do you think that Mom to Mom selling is a good idea to get rid of some new and very gently used items?

I am hosting one and want to know if it is a demand for them.

  • I live in Utah and here they are popular especially with the way the economy has been going. It's a great time for Moms to get out and meet other Moms but also to find a good buy on things that kids will be to big for. It's also a great way to help others who cant afford to buy name brands or even just clothes for their ever growing kiddies. We usually make an afternoon event out of it & we sometimes have a sitter for those who can't find one or don't want to.

  • It's a good idea. You could also ask your circle of friends if they are interested in trading? Pick one day every three (6) months or so, pick a place and time, lay out what you have, then trade or sell. You could even get into other areas, like books you have read, cookbooks you don't use, that blender gathering dust. Someone just may need what you don't use. Make a day or afternoon of it. Set up cardtables, have everyone bring a lunch or make it potluck. Have clothes you don't wear? Too big, too small? Trade or sell.
