Is there any way to lactate again once I have dried up?

I dont think that I gave breast feeding an honest go and I would like to know if there is any way to lactate again?

  • I think it is possible. I mean I stopped breastfeeding six months ago and milk still comes out. Try looking it up on www.lelecheleague.org or kellymom.com

  • Yes your doc or midwife can help you with this. Certain meds will stimulate milk production.

  • Yes! Contact your local LLL or a certified lactation consultant and they will be able to help you. Also the Breastfeeding Moms group here has a lot of advice on this topic.
