  • no, whether or not they are a good doctor has nothing to do with their gender.

  • I've had both. Honestly, I've had more luck with men in that department. But for pregnancy and birth I prefer a good traditional midwife.

  • No. I choose a MW who has never had a medicated birth.

  • Oh and when I was preggers, I didn't have a choice as to who I saw, my hub was military

  • I went to a practice that had both male and female doctors, and you didn't get a choice of who was on call, I did prefer the women, but that's because the two that I had the bulk of my appointments with had a great bedside manner. I had a male gyn when I was in my late teens/20's and he was fine.

  • No. I had decided on my OB 10 years before I got pregnant. My current GYN was a female who I didn't feel had my best interests at heart. I had an infection for 2 months that she kept throwing meds at and couldn't get rid of. I asked to be sent to someone else and my OB/GNY is who she choose.
I fell in love with him while I was in stirrups. I swore that when I had a baby, that he would be my doc. And he was.
