  • Why wouldn't it be okay?

  • Green tea is not a herbal tea, and contains caffiene. It's best to try and limit caffiene during pregnancy, so if you want to have green tea, make sure it's decaf (which still contains a small amount of caffiene). Herbal teas are naturally caffiene free and would be better for you.

  • Yes, it is perfectly fine.

BTW- decaf tea has approx the same amount of caffeine as chocolate. Almost none. just find a good decaf green that you like.

  • It's best to limit it. There's something in green tea that can affect how well your body absorbs folic acid, which is a necessity for a fetus, and lack there-of is one of the leading causes of neural-tube defects.

  • My Dr said up to 2 servings of caffine a day is fine while preggy.
