  • Do you get out of the house often? Even just a short walk with the baby in the stroller. Just bundle baby up and go walking. It does help a lot along with the ADs. Good luck!!

  • Give the AD a few months . . . if you are still feeling anxious and sad, please talk to your doctor about trying a different one. There are many different formulations out there, and sometimes, it takes a few tries to get to the one that works the best for you.
Also, psychotherapy has been shown to be extremely helpful . . . if you can swing it, make an appointment with an MFT, LCSW, LPCC or psychologist. A few sessions can really help with the anxiety.

  • Everyone reacts different to medication if you think the one the doctor gave you is not working talk to him.

  • This is a question for your therapist. Taking an anti-depressant without therapy is like taking pain killers for a broken leg and not putting on a cast; you are masking the symptoms and not fixing the problem
