If you had an ultrasound right before you delivered and they told you an estimated weight, how accurate was it compared to your baby's actual birth weight?

  • They told me she would be small about 6 pounds. She was 7 pounds 12 ounces. Way off.

  • I was told 7-7.5lbs and she was 8lbs.

  • With DD #2 they estimated her weight at 10lbs 4oz she was born 3 days later and was 10lbs 8oz

  • they told me my dd was going to be 9lbs(had an u/s day before i have her) and she came out 7lbs 8oz

  • I had mine a week before, they said ds was 7lbs10oz he was 8lbs1oz when he was born.

  • Both times I had an u/s just before the babies were born they were wrong. I had one a day before my 3rd baby was born and they said he was at most 8 lbs. He was 9lbs 6oz. With my 5th baby we had one two days before and they said she was atleast 9 lbs. She was 7lbs 5 oz.

  • My first son weighed more than I was told by 1-1.5 lbs. My 4th and 5th were both pretty close.

  • My doctor gave me a range of 6 1/2 to 7 1/2 lbs, he said it was just an approximate birth weight. My ds weighted 6 lbs 13 oz.

  • They estimated a full 8lb baby and he was 10lbs 8oz a week later.
