How can I find a good sitter/daycare/nanny in South Raleigh/Garner NC?

I work part-time and go to school. My mom was watching my kids but now she drops a bomb saying she is moving to Germany!! I don't know of any daycares that are open at night. I need child care from 4-1030pm tues. and wed. and from 10am-6pm thursday-sat. Does anyone know how I can find a good sitter or daycare for these hours? I have 3 kids. 11,7,2. the oldest 2 get home at 4pm and bedtime is 830. I also have pets. All I have found are websites that want to charge $30+/mo. just to email a possible sitter! Please help!

  • I live in N Raleigh. I have found some great sitters from posting online notices at NC State and Meredith College. College students love evening hours and most are generally reliable. Don't know how to make it clicky, but I pasted the link below to the NC State site to post a job. Absolutely make sure you check references!

  • @Alicia I went to those websites and they charge you to use their service so i dropped them from my options.

@Missanc Thanks for the link. I think I'm going to give that a shot.

You can also call the education department of local universities; their students usually make great babysitters.
