Do you have Sunday dinner as a family?

I remember as a child we always had family dinner on Sundays. Well everyday, but Sundays we usually invited relatives or friends over. I did this with my kids too. Now they have kids and don't do it. Am I old fashion or do people still do this?

  • Every Sunday we invite DH's sons, their kiddos and wives over for a bbq. We love it. We sit around and listen to music and talk.

  • We did when I was growing up. Now my brothers go to a different church, so Sunday afternoons we meet my parents and 2 of my brothers with their families at a restaurant after church. We have dinner as a family every night.

  • I still doing this, this is a very special way to keep my family together, so they can think and feel they are the most important thing in the world.

  • My husband's family always did and for years I was roped into it as well. Now, we go out for dinner on Sunday, hubby, the kids and me - I really enjoy spending time with our little family.

  • We go to my IL's quite often for Sunday dinner. Once a month MIL's family (her siblings, DH's cousins, etc) gets all together for a potluck.

  • I have never seen anybody do this. We have no friends or family members within an 800 mile radius so we couldn't do it if we wanted to. We eat dinner every night...just the four of us talking and enjoying food.
