Any of you girls have a good homemade mac and cheese recipe your willing to share?

    It was made with Asiago cheese.

  • Simple:

    Start with a roux of equal amount of butter and flour (I use 4 tablespoons)
    Bring that to a boil and let it stand for 1 minute
    Lower the temp to medium to medium high
    Add two cups of milk and let thicken
    Add two cups of whatever cheese you like
    Pour over the cooked pasta (elbows)
    Pop in the oven at 375 degrees for about 35-40 minutes

  • my favorite mac and cheese is just a simple recipe...

    heat milk and butter ( and a litle salt) ... add chunks of cheese ( I just use the cube of velvetta) , and I add sugar ..... when the cheese is all melted I mix it into the already cooked noodles....

  • I melt butter and milk, add shredded cheese, lots of cheese. I stir over low heat until melted. Then I add a couple tablespoons of cream cheese pour over cooked noodles (elbow, penne, spiral). Mix and pour into a buttered casserole dish. Top with breadcrumbs or crushed crackers browned in butter. Bake at 350 for about 30 mintues.

  • Mine is also rather simple:

    Melt 2tbsp butter. Remove from heat and add 1tbsp flour, a dash of salt and pepper and stir until well blended. Slowly add in 2 cups milk, then 2 cups velveeta cheese, and finally 8oz shredded sharp cheddar. Mix with already cooked noodles (elbow). Chop up desired amount of onion and add to dish mixing well. Top with bread crumbs and bake at 375 for 20 minutes.

  • My favorite is baked mac n' cheese receipe on the back of Muellers elbows box.I 've fixing it for yrs. and everybody always loves it. I usually fix it for family gatherings and I fix a 13'x9' pan and never bring any home.

  • All Day Macaroni and Cheese

    8 ounces elbow macaroni
    4 cups shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
    1 (12 fluid ounce) can evaporated milk
    1 1/2 cups milk
    2 eggs
    1 teaspoon salt
    1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

    In a large pot, cook the macaroni in boiling
    water 10 minutes, or until al dente, and drain.

    In a large bowl, mix the cooked macaroni,
    3 cups of the sharp Cheddar cheese, evaporated
    milk, milk, eggs, salt, and pepper.

    Transfer to a slow cooker that has been coated
    with non-stick cooking spray.

    Sprinkle with the remaining 1 cup of shredded
    sharp Cheddar cheese.

    Cover, and cook on Low for 5 to 6 hours, or until
    the mixture is firm and golden around the edges.

    Do not remove the cover or stir the mixture until
    the mixture has finished cooking.
