Is it odd for a girl to ask a guy out?

I am new in the dating world again (was with my ex for 10 years and am just starting to date again). Is it odd that I want to ask someone out or should I wait for them?

  • It is my belief that if you want a guy to really want you, then you wait and let him do the pursuing. That's the way it was done when I was looking for a husband, and marriages seem to have lasted a lot longer when it was done that way. My husband and I just celebrated our 46th wedding anniversary, and he is still pursuing me!!

  • Certainly not odd. My son had more women ask him out than he ever asked out.
