Working from home?

Is it even possible? Are they all scams? I work as a freelance writer and would love to work from home. **Edit** I meant to say a job that pays more than what I make as a writer, I am currently averaging $200 a month.- sorry -

  • Yes there are legit 'work from home' jobs out t here - I have one! The best way to find one is to go thru a reliable company and not answer newspaper ads (those are mostly scams).

  • It really depends on if you are looking for a work from home job or work from home business. The jobs are few and far between because of the high demand. Although there are tons of scams out there so be sure to do you research and check with the Better Business Bureau.

  • I never found any work from home "jobs" that were legit. I ended up with a home based business and it's worked out great for me. I'm an Independent Distributor for Mia Bella's.

  • Do you have a former employer you could work for remotely?
You can search for jobs that match you skill set and have a telecommute option.
If you have a computer with high speed internet & Microsoft Office Pro & have at least intermediate MS Office skills, you should be able to find work as a virtual assistant (VA). For more information, go to www.ivaa.org, www.iavoa.com, www.vanetworking.com ..
Do you have a skill or experience that you can turn into a home based business? I have a friend who makes children's hair accessories in her basement & sells them to boutiques around the Midwest. My husband runs a handyman business from our home. I work from home with two lines of business; I do freelance bookkeeping & business organization (along with medical billing), I also do career and job search coaching.
