Silly Bandz.. Um

Silly bandz

I just don't get em. I mean they're in the shape of numbers, letters, cats, dogs, crowns, shoes... but WHY?

Don't they just stretch out to some weird, grotesque shape. Then no one even knows what the heck it was lol

And now... Silly bandz necklaces...What is this madness??

  • don't forget about silly band rings, and charms for the necklaces. I think they are all stupid, but i wish i would have thought of them. whoever did is probably rich.

  • kids like em and the why is money... as long as there's a demand, people will supply them.

My kids love em. And if something makes em happy I'm all for it.

  • Last summer those were popular in our area for about a month, then they just died away.

I don't think that the necklaces are the best idea - basically rubber bands around your neck?? How does that even seem like a good idea?

  • My only child isnt old enough for these but I've been suspicious since they first came out. When I was in Jr High, we had the Jelly Bands. Those had hidden meanings depending on the color and quantity. We called them "Sex Bands". Sad but true.

  • They arent just a kids thing. There are these dirty ones now shaped like....well things right out of a porno. I am in high school and people have them shaped like just about everything. Then at home my daughter has princess and Dora ones. They are stupid. And not that cheap considering what they are.

  • I agree, they end up all over the house and in the laundry. I think they got their names silyl bands, because the manufacturer knew these bands would drive Mom's Silly. lol
