  • I chose St Catherine of Siena. I chose her because she spent much of her life caring for the sick and poor. She was also known for her writing ability.

  • My son isn't old enough to have a Saint yet. I went through the RCIA program, and chose my own Saint. I chose St. Brigid of Ireland, because I liked the way she represented a lot of fire, and a rebellion against male dominance (within religious parameters), and she was also (although a different person than the goddess) a way to incorporate the pagan Goddess Brigid into the Catholic religion.

  • My patron saint is St Monica. She is a very powerful intercessor for mothers, lost causes, and perseverance
My son's name is Tobias so his patron is Archangel Raphael (he accompanies Tobias on his journey in the Bible)
My daughter's name is Miriam so naturally her patron would be the Mother of God.

  • I do. I especially pray to St. Jude. I haven't picked one for him, I guess it's something I'd leave up to him when he's old enough.

  • I havent picked one for my daughter. Her middle name is Elizabeth, after the bible but when she's older, she'll pick her own saint name during Confirmation. I have one, mine is St. Genevieve, patron saint of France. My God-daughter was named Genevieve as well! :)
