  • What behaviors are you questioning. Your question ins too vague, we need more details.

  • I'm sorry. I hope I don't offend anyone by saying this, but what is so bad about a child/person being autistic? The only down-side I've ever seen to being autistic is that they can't show affection, or have social interactions. Their minds are incredible though! So I don't get why it's a bad thing to be autistic. I honestly think autistic children/people are gifted. Is that wrong to say?

  • It depends on the level of autism. Some never develop language skills.

  • There are a lot of programs with trained professionals that can help you determine if your child is autistic or delayed. Try searching for a Developmental Pediatrician. They are specially trained and can help.

  • if you are concerned he needs to be evaluated. But I have noticed that its pretty common for two year olds to behave quite strangley at times. Its part of being two. In my opinion I feel that people are too quick to blame normal behavior on autism and ADD. No one here could tell you what's going on with your child better than your pediatrician and a behavioral specialist.

  • My son who just turned two does not talk at all except for "mama and dadda". I don't think there is anything wrong with autism and I don't mean to ofend anyone. My son does not talk. When he gets excited he flaps his hands a lot. He is obsesssed with little matchbox cars and like to line them up and only push them in one direction. He will not eat unless we physically feed him ourselves like when he was a baby. Unless it's something he can pick up with his fingers. I am sorry and I don't mean to offend anyone. I'm just really having a hard time dealing and I'm scared to take him to get tested for this.

  • Imogine - both my niece and nephew are autistic. My nephew can't talk and still wears a diaper at age 8. It is extremely awful. They will never live alone. I worry so much what will happen to them as they grow up. My niece is 12. I guess they will go to some kind of group home. They are not gifted. Not all autistic kids are the same.
