Me and my boyfriend trying to work things out. But he still not changing and he has my key to my house, and will not give it back. Do anybody have a clue on why he still holding my key?

  • Why? Because he doesn't want to lose you or the life he's gotten used to. Giving up the key would be having to accept literally cutting you out of his life and losing a large portion of his comfort in life. Thats all I can think of. Unwilling to let go.

  • He's holding your house key and not giving it back because he's a jerk. Call a locksmith and change ALL your locks.

  • IDK, but I would change the locks. If he isn't doing any changing then I would end the relationship.

  • If you are that worried about it take the other suggestions and change your locks. It's not hard. Or, depending on the type of lock you can have them reset so that key doesn't work anymore.

    He wants the right to come and go as he pleases. He wants you to know that he can still get into your house. It's leverage. Take it away. Maybe then he will change.

  • He's probably hanging onto it "just in case". For leverage, like someone else said.
    I agree with the other ladies...CHANGE YOUR LOCKS.
