Can you give a 4 mo old puppy an egg?

Our new pup has very dry skin Is this safe of what are some other ideas?

  • yes thats perfectly fine. mix one raw egg in with their wet dog food. it does wonders

  • I would call the vet. How does an egg help dry skin? When my cat had dandruff we put a little oil in his food. It helped.

  • the proteins in raw eggs help dry skin and make their coats shiny mompam. it's an old trick thats been around for decades

  • You can try some salmon oil, or fish oil capsules as well.

    Naturalpetmarket.com has all sorts of supplements for skin and coat, you can check there too!

  • If you are going to use raw eggs I would try to get them from a small farm and organic if possible. Raw eggs from large factory farms are likely to have salmonella.

  • Do do the egg and also fish oil. I alternate.

  • call the vet. i give mine hard boiled eggs for a treat, but don't know that it helps dry skin. i occasionaly use oil but it makes them go #2 faster so make sure it has a litter box handy. lol call a groomer, they can get stuff for that and maybe they would sell you some.
