is it a coincidence that an influential Congressman in Bailout Decision is Married to GM Exec?

"Congressman John Dingell(D-Michigan) has used his powerful position as chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Committee to protect the auto industry".... "his wife is a high-powered executive at General Motors (now seeking a billion dollar bailout) and a descendant of the Fisher Brothers, one of the pioneering car families of Detroit "

Would anyone consider this a conflict of interest in a time of Economic NEED?

  • I would think that would be extremely relevant. But congressmen and women get raises all of the time, they should not be allowed to have any say in this it needs to get put to a vote by the American people and I know that is kindof what happens in congress but our voices are kindof being ignored.

  • Funny, how the MSM media hasn't caught wind of this. You know if this were a Republican Congressman, MSNBC, CNN, and ABC would have been ALL over this!

  • Add this to the list of Corrupt Democrats getting a Free Pass

    Barney Frank (D-MA)
    Chris Dodd (D CT)
    Harry Reid (D-NV)
    Nancy Pelois (D-CA)

    John Dingell (D-MI)

Funny, how these politicians have been associated with "questionable" associations in regards to the Economy/Government and they are also the big decision makers. Are you ready for their CHANGE?

  • LOL... Because the most CURRENT Event issue, s the financial mess of this country...

It just so happens that the politicians that happened to be tied to the headlines are Democrats.

I don't make the news.. I just read it. :o)

BTW, my little "unon", I have posted numerous times in the past, why I don't agree with the likes of Bush, Swarchenegger, and Dick Cheney... (THose are Republicans, in case you weren't aware) So, no

  • Anon, why don't you post these thing? You seem to know a lot about these criminals.

As for why post about Democrats, well, because they are decision makers and will be for the next 4 years. Yes, Bush is still in office. All he can do is halt the ridiculous spending habits of Pelosi and Reid for now, but when Obama gets in office, he will give them the green light. Will it be okay for us to talk about it when it's AFTER the fact?

  • Thanks QuinnMae :)
Apparently this "unon" doesn't have the ability to post questions on her own, about issues that are important to her. Someone should explain the whole "freedom of speech" thing... lol

  • They should go bankrupt and figure out how to fix their own problems -- just like millions of American citizens are currently doing without access to any bailout.
