i just wanted to know what some of the words were on here like DS and stuff like that

    DD = Dear daughter
    DH = Dear husband
    SD = Step daughter
    SS = Step son
    MIL = Motehr in law
    SIL = sister in law
    BIL = brotehr in law

    those are the ones I can think off that I use.

  • I am kind of new too -- but DS -- dear son; DS - dear daughter; SO - significant other; MIL - mother-in-law; FIL - father-in law; SIL - sister in law --- Thats all I have learned so far! Good luck!

  • Better watch out, I saw some CMP (CafeMom Police) on here this morning complaining about how we are all lazy for using the abbreviations. LOL I wonder if the abbreviations drive the GP (Grammar Police) nuts because we don't put a period between the initials?
    Welcome to CM(CafeMom). I think you'll find some wonderful women around here. IMHO (in my honest opinion), if you learn to take some of us with a grain of salt, you'll really enjoy CM and the support it offers.
