Does anyone else get the extremely dry skin on their hands from washing?

I wash my hands several times of day.
I put an ointment on to clear it up but my hands dry out even with gloves on.

  • You have to use lotion frequently.  I keep a big bottle by the sink, a small bottle in the bedroom and a small tube in my purse.

  • I do, and I have a bottle of lotion at every sink. I use Gardener Hand Repair and it works wonderfully.

  • yep. that's happened to me before. It was also itchy and it burned and would bleed. are you pregnant? I am. That's why my hands have been doing that. All because of hormones.

  • Yes, I'm constantly putting lotion on them. I'm going through a CNA program right now and my instructor (RN) said to get lotion that has a low sugar content because bacteria thrive off of sugars. Just a thought! :)

  • I know what you mean! I use Mary Kay hand treatments. Works wonders on me and my hubbys hands. Make sure you put the ointment on every night before bed!

  • No not pregnant. Although it would be nice, but I have a teen right now and that is difficult enough.

  • My hands get so dry and inflamed between my fingers, I wash my hands upwards of 50 times a day. I use Mary Kay's Satin Hands (fragrance free). It has day and night lotion and my hands are much better now!
