How old was everyones babies when they first started crawling?

My daughter is 8 months and she will be 9 months on Feb 25th. She gets in crawling position but she doesn't crawl. I wasn't sure if she is a late crawler or not.

  • Thanks hun. I was just wondering because it just seems like everyone asks me if she is crawling yet and it makes me feel like she should be crawling. I am the type of person that goes with the flow and they will learn it sooner or later.

  • My first 2 babies army crawled at 8 months, and crawled on their hands and knees at 9 months, my 3rd baby was crawling on hands and knees by 6 months. Everyone seems to think my 3rd son was an early crawler, I considered the first 2 to be late crawlers, but not abnormally early or late they were all within the typical range I think.

  • My son starting around 5 months or so. Some learn to crawl quicker than others.

  • 1st dd was 10 months old
2nd dd was 5-6 months old

  • There's nothing to worry about mom some babies start sooner than others some later! But I work in childcare were I deal. With a lot of in.ants and toddlers and I have found in working with them that they each started to crawl at their own times no matter how badly I wanted them to progress so they could graduate to the next level. When she builds up enough confidents she'll be on her way to the next stage walking but remember it's all a process and stay encouraged :-)
