Silly Question: Son grab milk with expiration date of 2/8/11 Would you return it?

We dont drink milk fast at my house would you return it?

  • If it's after th exp. date I'd take it back, it will most likely spoil before you know it, doesn't take long. Better to be safe than sorry.

  • Milk is good for five days after expiration date. However, if you bought it today and the date was marked for the 8th, then yes you should return it.

  • it will be fine but i would drink it within the next 3 or so days.
    i have gotten milk that wasnt exp and it was soured. that i did return and wasnt very happy. dont think i ever bought milk from there again.

  • Yes, stores can NOT sell products after the sell by date, even if the products would still be ok to drink. Take it back and teach your son how to check the dates.I work in a grocery store and the manager yells at the employees everytime a customer brings back an item sold past the sell by date.

  • I would take it back. Every now and then I'll notice a store will have milk or yogurt on the shelf that is expired. I tried telling the one time, but it took forever for someone to come over so I just left. I know mistakes happen, but they are hopefully more regular about checking that stuff.
