High blood pressure when pregnant?

I have been diagnosed with high blood pressure since my second DD. I have been on medicaiton and it was controlled. My GP had me on methyldopa and now changed to new medication I start tomorrow.
What medications are other pregnant mothers taking for their high blood pressure?

  • I never took any high BP medication when I was pregnant although I was induced with my first child because of high BP. Now I take metoperal (sp).

    Good Luck!

  • Have they indicated what may be causing the high bp? I would check out Dr. Brewer's pregnancy diet. It's got a great success rate in dealing with pregnancy induced hypertension, pre-e, GD, etc.
