I'm not pregnant, but what do you think of these names?

I will be the first to admit that I am a sci-fi geek--I love Buffy, Angel, Firefly and Harry Potter. I love the names Sirius, Severus and Anya but I'm afraid that if I named my last child any of these names, I would reserve a seat on the lamest names ever plane! lol

I like these:

Ffion (Welsh for Fiona) Anya for a girl,
Sirius Fenwyk (a street I drive by every day) for a boy,
Cellyn Sirius for a boy.

Would I be the laughing stock of the Portland Oregon???

  • I doubt it, but would your kids really thank you for it when they're older? My daughter's name is CONSTANTLY mispronounced.

  • I love Harry Potter too but I wouldn't go with those names except for Fiona! I think that's a really pretty name.

  • Cellyn Fenwyk has a nice sound. I love the name Anya, but would personally switch the names and go with Fiona...Anya Fiona

  • These names are hard work

  • The FFion is pronounced Fee-un, and I love it. I won't do Fiona due to the constant Shrek references I've already heard! lol I would probably spell Anya the Irish way, Aine. My boys have very Scottish names (traditional, not common here at all) but they are easy to say. I just absolutely love the name Sirius, and he is my favorite from HP. My hubby hates it! hehehe

  • Since Anya is the only name I'm sure about pronouncing correctly, the rest are a no. I instantly dislike names that are hard to pronounce the first time I see them.
