  • Absolutely, everyone should wait tables. You will learn how to speak to many different types/kinds/shapes/characters which will guide you in the process of learning to communicate. If you learn how to wait tables and overlook moods, you will always have cash in your pocket, gas in your tank and food in your stomach (unless they let you eat for free!). You also learn about how you should treat people and how you want to be treated. It is a wonderful life lesson and one which I would never mind going back to do (and have) because you get better as you get older. You use those techniques later at PTO meetings, board meetings and traffic accidents. The list of job skills that you will entertain is endless. PS Cell phones are not needed nor wanted by the public, employer or fellow employees. Hot tip.
