Anybody have IEP and homeschool ?

  • You DO NOT need an IEP if you are homeschooling. An IEP is so the SCHOOL follows what is needed for a child with disbilities to be educated to the best of their abilities.

  • yes , i know my child is autistic- disabled , has one now in school

  • My oldest daughter had 1 when we first started homeschooling. My half sister is homeschooling her 16 year old autistic son for the first time this year, and my mom homeschooled my little sister's youngest step-son until this year when he went to a vocational boarding school for high school. The 16 year old is the only one who still has an IEP, but they're all doing great and working at or beyond their grade level.
