Christmas fun for the smaller half of the family..

we have a huge family and et together for christmas every year. The kids usually are entertained by toys or picking on the adults but this year we had a baby boom... we have a 5 yr old, 2yr old and two one years olds(ones mine :) ) I thought it would be cool to do a cardbord box maze downstairs for the little ones. we thought about leaving lots of light so they dont get scarred or crash, and having it like a train so theres enough room. all but one are boys so you could imagine. I'm in charge of construction and am looking for suggestions...anything would be great this is a first. Thank you...

  • send the five year old in first and then the two year old and the one year olds........leave the top open so the adults can help guid the youngsters. Put little surprises along the way (and with the top open, it will allow you to drop new surprises in for the little ones after the 5 year old takes them all :0 ).........for the older one you can change it up and tell him he has to crawl, or walk backwards, or something for a portion of the maze. Good luck!

  • Go to an appliance store for the card board boxes, the ones the frigerators come in would be great. For light I would just make sure I put big enough holes in the top, that would allow just enough light to come thru that they would feel safe, & as the other writer said send the 5 year old in frist the rest will follow
