Anyone here with daughters in GS?
How do I find out where to become a leader as well as finding a daisy troop for my daughter?

  • http://girlscouts.org/ is the website.  You should call your local counsel office for answers about everything else.

  • We faced this this year with our daughter. I would recommend calling your council and them you want to be a leader. Tell them you are ready, and what do you need to do now? Online, there is a leadership application, and it runs a background check on ya. Then, there are other leader courses you'll need to take. I highly recommend getting two co-leaders, especially for a new troop.

Anyway, you will get better results calling and asking someone for some names to call (others who have registered online, and are waiting just like you). If you are in AZ, pm me! Of course If you have more Q's, not from AZ, you can PM me for support as well!

  • It's great that you are interested in being a leader. You can start out by contacting your council and getting your standard training online. I have a lot of resources on my website as well, check out http://www.scoutmom.net/.  If you have any questions about geting started, just message me (c:
