What do you take to a birthday party when it says No gifts?

I've been passed a email for a birthday party where it says no gifts. The birthday girl is turning 40. Its a surprise and its tomorrow!! What do you take or bring? I am a giver and love to give! Any fine suggestions would greatly be appreciated! Thank you!

  • It says no gifts! I'm sure there is a reason for that. Respect their wishes.

  • Maybe a card saying you gave to some charity that's close to her heart?

  • If it's their wishes is for no gifts, it would be a little rude of you to bring a gift to the party. Maybe get together with her during the week or next weekend and treat her to dinner or something. But no, would not bring ANYTHING to the party.
