Have you ever prepared your teenager's tax return and had the refund deposited into your bank account?

I'd like my daughter to get her refund as fast as possible and she does not have a bank account. I wondered if it was it ok to have it deposited into my account for her.

  • I don't think you can deposit her refund in your account. The account has to be owned by the person on the return. You can efile her return and get a check in about 3 weeks.

  • You cannot have it placed in your bank account. The bank account has to have HER name on it.

efile and have a check sent....and for some - they won't get a check but a visa debit card.
