  • Eating a balanced diet with sufficient whole grains, lean proteins, and fruits and veggies. From there, exercising 4-5 days a week, including some cardio (you can start with brisk walking), and some weight training (calisthenics). You can't spot lose, but taking better care of yourself will help you lose weight all over, particularly in the bigger areas. You can't have a "diet" mindset- you need to make permanent changes in your life. Good luck!

  • Well, you cant spot reduce. It's all about reducing calories, & increasing cardio workouts. Basically, good old fashioned healthy diet & exercise. There is no magic pill or magic sweatsuit- it's just finding the time- no MAKING the time & doing it. Sounds easy right? NOT! We've been told this same old story since grade school & we're still a bunch of chubs! (no offense- I'm right there w/ ya- frustrating isnt it!) GL :)

  • There are 3500 calories in one pound of body fat, so if you want to lose weight you just have to burn through a bunch of those stored up calories. A popular misconception is if you do crunches every day you can get a flat belly. That just isn't so, a proper diet and exercise is the only way. If you have belly fat crunches alone won't help you without cardio it won't work. Eat your veggies and proteins.
