  • Doctors will tell you they want about 18 months-2 years in between births. This gives your body full time to heal. Also pregnancy robs your body big time of minerals/nutrients.

  • My kids are 19 months apart. I had no choice, I had my daughter at 38 and my son 3 weeks before my 40th birthday. My DH's siblings are 14 months apart.

  • I personally would not want my kids any less than 2 years apart but I know a lot of people that works for. I think I was told I should wait a year to get pregnant after I had my first but I also had a c-sections o I don;t know if that makes a difference.

  • Doctors recommend about 1 year before getting pregnant after a vaginal birth and more like 18 month before getting pregnant after a c-section. This is so the body can heal and recover from the first pregnancy and delivery. I personally believe that 2-3 years between children is a good spacing and mine are 25 months apart. If you nurse like nature intended then most women can't get pregnant until at least 6 months and often more like 12 months after giving birth.

  • I would give it a couple years. Having kids very close together is probably great, but I'm really loving have so much special time with each of my three children--they are 4 years and 3 years apart.
