Sick girl :(

My daughter is 2 and super sick. Even when she's sick she's happy but this time all she wants to do is sleep. She hardly is eating no throwing up but she has a fever this started last night. Any suggestions on how to make her feel better?

  • Keep her hydrated. You can alternate tylenol & ibuprofen - 1 dose every 4 hours (tylenol @ 12, ibu @ 4, tylenol @ 8, for example). Call the doctor in the morning, especially if she's not staying hydrated.

  • fluids, rest, medicine, keeping her warm and comfortable, call doctor in the morning, cool wash cloths, I use those be cool patch from walmart that can go on chest or forehead. I think when her temp. comes down she will feel better. My girls when sick when would not take fluids popslices would work just as well

  • don't worry about food, get some pedilite and some Popsicles and just keep her hydrated. Let her sleep as much as she wants. Body does most of its healing while we sleep. You'll also notice that her fever will be hire while she sleeps. normal. I would not lower the fever unless she becomes dehydrated or lethargic. Just make sure that she stays hydrated. And when she seems to be doing better get her in a warm bath with either Epsom salt or baking soda. It will help pull the lactic acid out of her muscles that can cause the achy body feeling we typically get after a fever.
