  • Umm, obviously its going to effect the baby. The baby gets its nutrients FROM YOU. So my advice, stop worrying about being fat cause most likely you aren't and give that baby everything it deserves and don't worry about a thing other then staying healthy.
If you need help call someone, there are ways to get help and overcome the bulemia.

  • You mean you are bulimic? You binge and purge, right?

Anyway, this is dangerous to do, pregnant or not. One of the problems is the extreeme ups and downs of your blood sugars. This can have an adverse affect on the baby. Also, the force of vomitting could cause contractions. Another thing is dehydration. If you become dehydrated, so will your baby.

I know allot of bulimics take laxatives. Taking laxatives could cause contractions and pre-term labor.

Please, talk with your doctor about this. It's not safe at all. Remember, whatever you do to yourself, you are doing to your baby. It's not just about you now.

  • You do need to ask for help as soon as possible, hun. You cannot carry a healthy baby to term if you continue to binge and purge. YOU will not be healthy either, so you need to get help regardless of being pregnant. Please do it for your sake and the sake of your baby.

  • I don't want to mean, but you should have gotten help and over this before you decided to get pregnant. This isn't fair to your unborn baby.

  • Alright...this is going to sound stupid and rude, and truly isn't meant to be. If you're considering yourself bulimic, I doubt that you really are. People with eating disorders don't admit to them because they don't realize that they actually have a problem. If you really think that you're bulimic and not just having morning sickness, get off the computer and go to the ER. They'll admit you, get you healthy, and help you kick that disgusting habit.
