What are some good after school snacks to put in dd's backpack?

My dd has lunch at 11:20A..snack at gets out at 3:10P...She then has a 45 min. bus ride before coming home...she is hungry when she gets on the bus/gets home & has been asking for a snack or two for her backpack..should I put something in..if so what?

  • Are they allowed to eat on the bus? I would check on that first of all. If they are then you can pack apples, carrots, pudding snack, gogurt, celery sticks, and things like that.

    * Air-Popped Popcorn
    * Baby Carrots or any other vegetable she enjoys.

    Don't give Pop-Tarts. They are not good for you.

  • my 5 yr old eats poptarts every morning, he hasn't died from it. but i would check to see if they can eat on the bus. here theyre not allowed to due to chocking hazard and the bus driver not seeing it.
