Does your spouce promise and promise to change something about them selves?

If so what is it and what do you say when they say "I will try to be better"..

  • Nope. Never asked him to change. I knew who he was when we met and he will always be that man.

    If I wanted somthing/someone different, I wouldn't be with him. Also, if he is changing something at your request/demand, then he will NOT follow thru. He has to want to do it for himself.

    Him saying that he will try to do better is just a blow off. He doesn't want to change because he may not see anything wrong to him.

  • I don't expect my husband to change at all. I married him knowing mostly what to expect. He has his faults that I over look and I have my faults that he overlooks.
