Do you approve or disapprove of the way Obama is handling_____________?

How do your views line up with Gallup's Poll?

President Barack Obama's approval rating for handling the federal budget deficit has gone from bad to worse in recent months, even as his ratings on all other major national issues have generally held steady. Currently, 27% of Americans approve of Obama on the deficit, down from 32% in November, while 68% disapprove.

  • the only good thing obama has done for me, is to insure a GOP white house until 2024. History repeats itself in more ways than one. Carter-Iran Obama-Egypt
Carter-oil embargo Obama-oil spill, oil prices, ME tensions
Carter-small cars and imports Obama-hybrids and Elec vehicles
    Carter-inflation Obama-stagflation
Carter-depressed economy Obama-little to no economy
Carter=Reagan and GHW Bush for 12 years
Obama= 12 years of GOP government to follow.

  • quite frankly, I don't even like how he handled the mundane art of finding his family a pet, and keeping it let alone foreign affairs and deficit reduction.

  • Mubarack Hussein
If he was Mubarack, your vote wouldn't count. You would be tortured and possibly killed for saying this. So I think that this little turn of phrase is at once diminishing your rights as an American, and diminishing the struggle of the Egyptians to have their voice heard. Just saying. Carry on.

  • I have been polled several times. Once, I was polled, and then I heard some of the questions being used on the news stations. I just pointed at the TV and yelled, "I'm one of the 54%!". I it was cool. I think the entire scope of the questions will hurt him in 2012. The new thing, the 'incentives' will hurt him. "A rose by any other name is still a rose." Spending by any other name is still spending.

  • BLS unemployment stats
    1981 7.6
    1982 9.7
    1983 9.6
    1984 7.5
    1985 7.2
    1986 7.0
    1987 6.2
    1988 5.5

Ummmm Sweet? The stats that Stacy posted don't match your '84 claim of 10%.

  • What was UE when Reagan was re-elected?

In November of 1984, when Reagan won his bid for re-election, the unemployment rate was 7.2%...having steadily come down from a high of 10.8%. AND the inflation rate was SIGNIFICANTLY lower than it was when he was sworn in!!

The thing of the matter is the Obama Administration nor the recently exited Congress, didn't so much as lay the GROUNDWORK for us to be able to even fathom measurable improvements!! If by his plan of action we were actually witnessing TRUE lower unemployment numbers, and lower inflation, THEN maybe, we would be able to "rally behind him!" But I digress...
