  • We sang for my dog. Gave him a special meal of mighty dog, dry food and bacon. Everyone in the family got him a present!!

  • A liver and peanut butter cake. :-)
    A new chew toy.

We used to actually sing Happy Birthday to the dog growing up. The cake was always vanilla, so he always got a taste.

  • I usually buy mine her two most favorite treats, Greenies and bones from the butcher shop. They also have these doggy 'cupcakes' that they sell in the local pet shop and I get her one of those because I'm cheesy like that =)

  • We always bought a cake and ice cream (they have doggy ice cream too) and had a real family party. Gifts were purchased and wrapped and our Golden was smart enough to rip them open.

  • We have never done anything for our dogs birthdays. I honestly don't even know when our current dog was born, all I know is sometime in May - she's a month older than our youngest DD.
