Does anyone else just not really like Valentines Day?

Tried to get into it this year for the sake of my husband but honestly I don't need fancy flowers that will be half price tommorow and we still have Christmas candy left. Am I the only bad valentine out there?

  • same here, i'm not with anyone but even when i was married, i didn't want any flowers that will die the next day or candy to make me fat. all i cared about was my birthday, christmas and maybe the anniversay. that's it. i hate that sweetest day too stupid holidays.

  • We buried my mom on Valentine"s Day 16 years ago. Not a huge fan of the day. I do make it fun for the kids though.

  • I don't hate it exactly, but I don't really care anything about it.

  • I usually don't celebrate this holiday. I always wait till the next day for flowers that way it just seems like another day.

  • I don't care for Valentine's Day either. I'd rather surprise eachother with gifts on any other day, just because we care. We don't really celebrate as a couple, but we buy a small box of chocolates for DD just because it's fun for her.

  • It doesn't have to be about flowers and candy. Remember, Valentine's Day celebrates the 2 of you, and your love for each other...not buying things. Cook a nice movie or rent a great movie that only you 2 will appreciate. When spending money ruins a day for you, don't spend it.

  • I get you. I would have rather spent the money on my son or something more practical.
