  • They used to give bonuses to the skilled workers on the line. What happend to those? There wouldnt be a functioning company w/out all the men & women busting their behinds on the line. I'm glad they didnt fold- but wish they didnt do away w/ Pontiacs! Bad move. And giving bonuses to the execs that made poor business decisions that got them to the point of needing a bailout is really just plain stupid!

  • DETROIT – General Motors Co. will pay more than $189 million in profit-sharing to 48,000 U.S. hourly workers and millions more in performance bonuses to salaried employees, according to company documents obtained by The Associated Press.
Looks like the "salaried" (management) workers are getting more than that. Maybe that is the reason they will not survive?

  • Now, isn't that nice? How 'bout they pay for their bailout? This is b/s...

  • Government Motors..... None of them deserve a bonus... Unions are ineffective...Salaried Workers at GM and union shouldn't receive bonuses till the Government has been paid back and GM is self sustaining and showing a profit.... Wrong call.
