When decongestants and over the counter painkillers don't work, how do I get rid of a persistent sinus headache?

  • See an Otorhinolaryngologist (ear, nose and throat doctor). You may need to have a CT scan of your sinus area to find out why you have persistent pain.

  • I would start with a Neti Pot. Then clean your nasal passages out 3x a day. Get that apt made with an ENT, as above said.

  • I use Zyrtec D, it has to have the pseudoephedrine in it or it is like I don't take anything at all. I take 1 twice a day and 2-4 Advil. You can also try a Nettie Pot or a hot steamy shower.
