Tired of the same old thing

i have gestational diabetes and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on cost friendly and diabetes friendly recipes...im really getting tired of cabbage and beans and whole wheat hamburger helper lol thanks

  • This kind of reminds me of when I had my doctor test me for Celiacs... I warned him that even if the test came back positive, I would probably die, because I love food and couldn't imagine that big of a lifestyle change!

  • I ate a lot of chicken and turkey. Where ever you would use ground beef substitute ground turkey. There are lots of websites with great recipes. Stay away from lunch meat, it's high in sodium.

  • thanks love the websites ideas....i have been using ground chicken and turkey instead of beef i was doing that before i was pregnant i like it better but need some variety definitely

  • Lentils also pack the protein and can be used in place of meat easily. We make "meat" sauce with lentils and put it over spaghetti squash or in lasagna.
